So gorgeous! Also love “..and in the disappointment grew the sunflowers”. What a beautiful thing for disappointment to grow.

We usually get sunflowers in late summer here, and there’s a stretch right by the woods where they’ll grow, and I stand mesmerised every year.

Yes, I quite like that sentence too. It makes me curious about the sunflowers growing in other disappointments in my life.

I hope this year, you have an especially full patch of sunflowers to enjoy!

“A field of suns” sounds so reverent and intimate. Such a sweet poem🌻🌻🌻

thanks, Holly. It does feel reverent— noticing the beauty rise amidst all the cracked and broken stems, hanging heavy with heads still full of unharvested wheat.

Challenging hailstorms,

they stand tall, bright, up-right(eous).

Bring it on, say blooms.

oh, I love the "they stand tall, bright, up-right(eous)." Thank you for this (as always), Marisol
