an anti-war poem
The squirrel started building her nest the day the bombs began to fall each stick placed carefully each bomb, an unnecessary fate destroying with careless hate while she, she searches the creek-side for days looking for every perfect piece to make a place for her coming babies tell me, who knows something of love? _written March 1st 2026
This poem was written the day after the US and Israel began bombing Iran. And here, over 3 months later the brute logic of an eye for an eye continues.

Powerful, beautiful, and tragic.
A powerful poem with the contrast between the nesting squirrel and the death trap of war; we can learn so much from nature. 🙏🏼🐿️
